Happy Good Friday and Other Trauma
Well here we are on Good Friday. The Lord Jesus who died for our sins blah blah blah. I don't have to care about this. I really find it difficult to believe in organized religion and as such care only about the fact that it means a day off from work. If only I hadn't got so many people over. I do like my peace and quiet and increasingly find it difficult to have people over.
On the original topic of organized religion Khushwant Singh describes a conversation with the Dalai Lama which was quite brilliant. While discussing the after life and reincarnation the Dalai Lama said that there was such a lot of evidence and instances that these couldn't be wished away. The point which Mr. Singh was making was that these seem to be prevalent amongst religions which foster such beliefs. The low incidence of such amongst Muslims makes it seem like a self fulfilling prophecy. Anyway to give the Dalai Lama credit he did take it in the right sense and laughed out loud. Mr. Singh - Quite incredibly observant....
